July 22nd "Braggin' Rights" Bruce Gamboni And his 1955 Chevy Wagon Bruce Gambino’s ’55 Chevy wagon is, in my opinion a custom to end all customs. Let us start with the top. Chopped 4 inches, painted a custom Bruce mixed color, purple metal flake with ghost flames. The satin finish on the body with the "embossed" flames is something I have never seen before, but absolutely love. The ‘Vette grille and ’56 Packard tail lights really add a nice touch to this rolling work of art. The ’66 ‘Vette 327 with 6 Stromberg 1 bbls is something you don’t see everyday. Bruce designed the interior himself, as well as did all the body and paint work. By the way, Bruce is a body man by trade. He started when he was 16, with a ’68 G.T.O. that a friend did some body work on. Bruce did not like the way the work came out and decided to do it himself. From that point on he has been a body man. He also likes to build custom models and add his own touches to those as well. To me this car is a refreshing escape from "main stream" customs and hotrods. Keep up the awesome work Bruce !!
